At Night

left to right:   Midnight Wood, Midsummer Night
box canvas 16 inches square

The colours I have used in these remind me of an earlier painting (below) I did back in 2009 based on my sketching in Highgate.  This will not be in the Chorak exhibition but it has been requested for an exhibition in February 2013.

Revive

'Revive' series
left to right starting at the top:
Revive(Golden), Revive(Leaf Green), Revive(White Silver), Revive(Green Black),
Revive(Golden Green)

These bright paintings measuring 16 inches square would look good on bright staircase lit with natural light.

Through the Trees

'Through the Trees' is my first joint exhibition. Previously I have exhibited in larger group shows. I want to share my enjoyment of nature by creating paintings that are affordable and easy to display in your house or apartment.

MUSWELL HILL

The exhibition is going to be in Muswell Hill

Paintings

Blue Green

Blue Black

In both of these pictures I am trying to convey the sense of many overlapping layers of foliage....... developing the theme 'Through the Trees'.

These are similar to the two paintings below of which 'Pumpkin is my favourite.

Thin Black Line

In the photograph below you can see how I like to paint onto the sides of the box canvas:

Thin Black Line - in exhibition

Pumpkin

I have developed the flowing lines further in 'Pink Gold' below:

Pink Gold

I like the vibrancy of the colours I have used. It really is bright.

Sketchbook

These sketches were created using fibre tip pen, masking fluid and washes of
thin paint. I was out sketching in a park with M and we were sitting under a canopy of leaves with the sunlight shining through.
